How to Golf Swing Tips

Golf Swing Tips There are golf swing tips all over the Internet but the how to golf swing tips that you will find here are from the personal experiences of a recreational golfer, probably just like you. Welcome to the How to Golf Swing website. My name is Mick Tait and I have been golfing for just over 40 years.

I started hitting a few balls when I was only 5 years old but I started to play seriously when I was 10. My Grandfather gave me an old set of his golf clubs that he had cut down for me; they were a mixed bunch of old clubs from different brands and epochs. By the way, I wouldn’t recommend starting off with old cut down clubs like I did as you can find some very good game improving clubs from online golf stores like GlobalGolf.com where you can find Used & Preowned Golf Clubs Up To 50% Off!

For the next 10 years I struggled mightily to master the golf swing until I took several one-on-one golf lessons with my local golf club pro. Even though I learned all the golf swing basics, I was still a very erratic golfer. Although I had bought a new complete golf club set, I couldn’t play with any kind of consistency. I was getting very frustrated and nearly quit playing golf many times.

The Traditional Golf Swing

If you have been playing golf for a while or even if you are a complete beginner, if you are trying to master the traditional golf swing like I was, then you may be in a similar position with your golf swing – a complete lack of consistency. The problem with the traditional swing is it is difficult to learn properly; even the pros need a full time swing coach and sometimes they still struggle to hit all the fairways and greens.

You see, the traditional swing has too many moving parts to it – the backswing, the wrist cock, the transition, the weight shift, the downswing, the release, and the follow through. Even most professional golf coaches have a hard time trying to get the average golfer to take in all these separate movements; let’s face it, it is a difficult swing to teach and to dominate.
